2021 Chevrolet Colorado with a trailer

If you’ve heard about the Chevy Silverado 1500 or even the Chevy Equinox, you will know that the Chevrolet lineup has some of the strongest towing capabilities in its respective class. This is the same for the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, a mid-size pickup truck that can tow an impressive amount compared to other trucks on the market in its class. The new Chevy Colorado towing capacity reaches all the way up to 7,700 pounds, perfect for all of your jobs in Pace! Learn more below with Sandy And Bubba's Milton Chevrolet.

Chevy Colorado Towing Capacity by Engine

While 7,700 pounds is the maximum, you will find varying capacities across the lineup. Take a look at what you can expect according to the engine and trim level you opt for:

  • 2.5L 4-Cylinder Engine: All models with the baseline Colorado engine can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
  • 3.6L V6 Engine: Opt for the V6 engine and the Trailering Package, and you will bump the towing capacity up to 7,000 pounds. If you don’t choose the Trailering Package, this engine will only tow 3,500 pounds.
  • Duramax® 2.8L Turbo-Diesel 4-Cylinder: The Duramax Diesel engine will help you reach the stars and get the ultimate Chevy Colorado towing capacity of 7,700 pounds.

If you decide to go for the high-end and luxurious Colorado ZR2 trim as your next Navarre pickup, then you can only expect a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.
